Playing and Ipod in an '08 C-Class Benz?

I recently purchased benz that comes equipped w/ a 6 disc cd changer but w/out the Ipod integration. I was wondering if it's possible, through some simple wiring, to play my Ipod. I know there is an input jack in the glove compartment but exactly what do i need to buy and will it interfere w/ playing CD's. Thanks in advance!

The simplest way to do it, with no wires at all, is by buying an FM transmitter for your iPod. You can select what frequency to transmit at, and then simply tune your car stereo into it. Easy.

I just noticed that you said that there is an input jack in the glove compartment. If that is indeed an auxiliary audio input then you only need a simple MP3-to-car cable (two male ends). It should only cost a few dollars.


To use an MP3 player as the source you just need to select "AUX" as the input on your stereo head unit. When you want to switch back to CDs, you just select "CD". That's how it is in most cars anyway.


Be aware that you will only get playback from the MP3 player, you wont be able to control it at all via the car stereo controls.
