Class C Misdemeanor & FTA?

Late in 2005, I was arrested for disorderly conduct. I was given a PTA. I went to my court date and was given Anger Management counseling. I tried very hard to find somewhere I could go that wouldn't charge me an ungodly amount of money, no such luck. After having a continuance granted to finish, I learned that the place I had been going to wasn't an accepted anger management program. I did not have enough time to complete the program somewhere else after that, before my court date.

The family court gentleman told me "If you don't bring something stating you finished, then bring your toothbrush.

Needless to say, I got scared because I couldn't complete it, didn't go to my court date and now I have a FTA bench warrant.

What would be my best route to go about handling this, as I do not want it following me around forever.

Class C Misdemeanor %26amp; FTA?
Turn yourself in!!!
Reply:Once the warrant is issued, the only thing you CAN to is to turn yourself in. You can not get it lifted. You must be booked and then and only then can your lawyer work on getting the charges changed, amended or a continuation of your PTA to finish your program.

Here are your choices:

1. Talk to an attorney and have them work on getting you booked and bailed out or released on your own recognizance pending your court appearances.

2. Just turn yourself in and then work with an attorney to get the charges resolved.

The warrant will never go away. And, when you do get caught, you are going to jail. It always is easier for your attorney to argue your point to the court if you do the right thing and turn yourself in. A judge is gonna throw the book at you if he sees you were picked up by the police on a long outstanding warrant where you were "on the run".
Reply:Finnish the program, then Call the court, and find out how to go about turning yourself in to clear up the warrant.

you will more than likely be fined for missing court, but if you explain that you needed to Finnish the program, that coupled with the fact you turned yourself in will help keep you out of jail
Reply:What the people above me said is correct, turn yourself in. The sooner you do that, the sooner it's over. You'll spend a night or two in jail, and you'll go to court. You were unsuccessful in the terms of your plea, and you'll be forced to serve the time of the original charge. I doubt you'll get the maximum or anything close to it. If I had to guess, when you get to court, you'll get time-served, and you'll be out that night. And remember, if you don't turn yourself in, that habeas will always be there, so if you ever get pulled over, or at any time your license is ran, you'll be arrested on the spot. Constantly looking over your shoulder for police is no way to live. County jail isn't that bad. I found the transport from the jail to the court to be horrible though.
Reply:hire an attorney.

Class C theft, can you still go to college for Medical with that on a record??

You did not provide enough information. Is this a Class C felony or misdemeanor? Did it occur when the individual was a minor or adult?

Having said that, as a general rule, you can attend medical school with a conviction as long as the school will admit you. Many schools may not admit you with as felony conviction on your record as licensing may, WILL, be more difficult but not impossible in most states.

There is intense competition for places in medical schools so any negative in one's life my derail a shot at admission. If you have the qualifications and drive for medical school go for it. Visit the colleges, talk to the admissions staff. Good things may happen if you persevere.

Good luck.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Class C felony being a first time offender?

Info on the punishments.

Class C felony being a first time offender?
It depends completely on where the crime was committed and may also depend on the type of crime itself. The Washington guidelines are located here: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?...
Reply:It all depends on the state you were arrested in. Almost every state has their statutes online so do a google search and a little researching
Reply:You'll probably get probation. Depends on your attitude and whether you admit what you did was wrong. Obviously you are guilty, just plead no contest.

Should I drop a class and take a W or a possible C?

I might get a C in this statistics class. I don't know if I should drop it and take a W or take a possible C. I'm planning on going to med school so this would hurt my GPA if I got a C, since last quarter I had a 3.9 something.

Should I drop a class and take a W or a possible C?
My pre-med adviser told me that for med school, a C is better than a W. Then again, if you think that 1) you'll be able to keep that GPA up for the rest of your undergrad, and 2) you could take it again and ace it, I'd recommend taking the W. Med schools are really impressed by a high GPA (as long as they don't see like 3 Ws or something), and you can always say that you felt you weren't really learning it the first time around and wanted to retake it because you want to understand statistics. Good luck!
Reply:I don't know about your school, but where i go to school a "W" is withdrawal which means you going to have to PAY and TAKE the class again. I would take a C anyday so I didn't have to take the class again and work real hard in my other courses to in sure I had straight A's. It sounds me that you haven't been giving 100% to this class and now have a C. Unless you really think it's worth it to take the class again, then I would Withdrawal, otherwise work hard from here on out to insure you get into medical school.
Reply:Good Evening from Northern Arizona,

My advice is to take the "C." A "withdrawl" looks inappropriate on your transcripts. Remember, your transcripts are like "fingerprints:" they can never be discarded. I would try to work something out with the professor...try to squeeze a B- out of him or her???

Elbert:-)
Reply:probably. i got a B in statistics when i took it and if i had gotten a C i would not have been very happy.

Should I drop a class and take a W or a possible C?

I'm a freshman.I might get a C in this statistics class. I don't know if I should drop it and take a W or take a possible C. I'm planning on going to med school so this would hurt my GPA if I got a C, since last quarter I had a 3.9 something. It would be my only W so far.

Should I drop a class and take a W or a possible C?
If you plan on retaking it, find out if your school allows you to retake a class with a previous grade of a C.

If you do not plan on retaking it, just drop it. One W will not look that bad, and a C may screw up your GPA
Reply:Since it's not required for your major (it sounds like it's just a general education class), it won't make that much of a difference when you actually apply as long as you keep up the excellent work.
Reply:i think you should just drop the class if it hurts your GPA.

What exactly is "class C" strep throat?

that's what the dr. said I have.. what is the difference between the classes??

What exactly is "class C" strep throat?
Woow, I guess asking here on Answers is already a crime...no wonder people get so many damn points in this place just answering "grow up" to people.

While it is true that "researching it yourself" is a good option, not everyone has the time nor resources to do that, so asking is ok, and you should not worry about asking.

With respect to your question, I can only give you the "bare minimum" regarding Streptococcus "classes", since they are more covered on a medical bacteriology and/or microbiology courses. Technically, "classes" are used in a different sense when dealing with Streptococcus organisms, because such are actually classified in "groups", i.e. "Group A". What those groups actually represent are the types of polysaccharide molecules attached to the cell-surfaces of Streptococcus organisms.

In your case, your doctor says that you have a Group C "strep throat" (which I prefer to be called pharyngitis--"strep throat" sounds slang), meaning that the Streptococcus bacterium diagnostically, or serologically to be more specific, identified in your throat specimen has a C-polysaccharide. As what your nurse has listed above, there are a number of polysaccharide (or carbohydrates or sugar molecules) groups identified; and depending on the organism, a particular Streptococcus bacterium could be classified as A, B, C, or D (there is an E group if I'm not mistaken).

Examples of each could be A = S. agalactiae, B = S. pyogenes (the common bacterium that causes pharyngitis) C = Group C Streptococcus D = Enterococcus faecalis.

There are others, of course, that are included in this list. But the clinical significance of "grouping" Streptococcus organisms is for the reason of identifying the cause of a particular strep infection, such as that in your case. The main difference between the groups is the composition of polysaccharides or sugars appearing in chains. This is actually a broad classification, but it works well in identifying them serologically, giving an accurate diagnosis for strep infections.

Hope this helps!

By the way, even though the Groups are different and each organism in a Group causes different diseases, there are "disease overlaps" between the groups...meaning a particular disease can actually be caused by more than one Streptococcus organism.
Reply:The Streptococci bacteria are classified into groups. Group A, B, C and D. It's too time consuming for me to list the differences. Suffice it to say, the different groups cause different illness. Got a couple of minutes? Research them for yourself.

My class c liscense was suspended,can i get a class m?.?

Do you have a dictionary? Have you looked up the word "suspended"?

You are suspended from driving, not from driving one class of vehicle, but from any motor vehicle, and that suspension prevents you from getting any licence in any state, in any province, in Switzerland, Germany, Britain, South Korea, and Belgium, just for starters.

My class c liscense was suspended,can i get a class m?.?
No class of license can be granted during a period of suspension.

The court, when petitioned for special circumstances may make a determination for limited priviledges, only when there is extraordinary circumstances. Meaning that the court is not likely to grant such permission.
Reply:i would hope that they wouldn't give you ANY license.
