Phenergan is a class C med, and my obgyn prescribed it for my morning sickness? Can it harm my unborn baby?

Any other suggestions on what I could take to help this miserable nausea!

Have you tried sea-bands? Yes, class C CAN harm a fetus, but if the pros outweigh the cons then your doctor will prescribe it.

Anyway, at your local drugstore they should sell sea-bands which are little acupressure bands that help with air-sickness and sea-sickness and from what i've heard from my friends, morning sickness.
Reply:I am not sure but with any medication even over the counter make sure to ask the Dr before u tak ethe Perscription outof the office...Good Luck and Congrats
Reply:my daughter was given phenergan on a regular basis throughout her entire pregnancy because her gallbladder became acute and this was all that would help her she was only 5 weeks pregnant and was given this until she gave birth to a 7lb 13 oz baby boy born on his due date. good luck
Reply:Pregnancy is the perfect time to rethink your lifestyle in general, even if it is a "normal" lifestyle in this part of the world.

Rethink chemical drugs, rethink everything you're consuming and using!

My advice: Start thinking nature while experiencing this greatest state nature has provided (or rather the One who provides nature for us).

Start seeing a Naturopath and continue seeing him/her with your baby - your child will be very thankful one day!!!

(There are plenty of alternatives to every pharmaceutical product!)
Reply:I had phenergan all through my last pregnancy and am currently taking it with my current. It had no adverse effects on my daughter, so i think if you dont overuse it you will be fine.
Reply:How far are you? I was only given Phenegran in my last 4 weeks, because I was so sick I was unable to eat or sleep. However I was sick the whole time before that too, and the Dr. wouldn't give me anything. I've been eating hard-candy mints, which didn't work with my first, but they are working now.
Reply:I took Phenegran for my entire pregnancy to help control my nausea. I had a very healthy 9 lb boy with no side effects.

You'd be surprised the medicines that you can take that will not harm your baby. And your doctor wouldn't prescribe them if they would harm the baby. Good Luck!!!
