Late in 2005, I was arrested for disorderly conduct. I was given a PTA. I went to my court date and was given Anger Management counseling. I tried very hard to find somewhere I could go that wouldn't charge me an ungodly amount of money, no such luck. After having a continuance granted to finish, I learned that the place I had been going to wasn't an accepted anger management program. I did not have enough time to complete the program somewhere else after that, before my court date.
The family court gentleman told me "If you don't bring something stating you finished, then bring your toothbrush.
Needless to say, I got scared because I couldn't complete it, didn't go to my court date and now I have a FTA bench warrant.
What would be my best route to go about handling this, as I do not want it following me around forever.

Reply:Once the warrant is issued, the only thing you CAN to is to turn yourself in. You can not get it lifted. You must be booked and then and only then can your lawyer work on getting the charges changed, amended or a continuation of your PTA to finish your program.
Here are your choices:
1. Talk to an attorney and have them work on getting you booked and bailed out or released on your own recognizance pending your court appearances.
2. Just turn yourself in and then work with an attorney to get the charges resolved.
The warrant will never go away. And, when you do get caught, you are going to jail. It always is easier for your attorney to argue your point to the court if you do the right thing and turn yourself in. A judge is gonna throw the book at you if he sees you were picked up by the police on a long outstanding warrant where you were "on the run".
Reply:Finnish the program, then Call the court, and find out how to go about turning yourself in to clear up the warrant.
you will more than likely be fined for missing court, but if you explain that you needed to Finnish the program, that coupled with the fact you turned yourself in will help keep you out of jail
Reply:What the people above me said is correct, turn yourself in. The sooner you do that, the sooner it's over. You'll spend a night or two in jail, and you'll go to court. You were unsuccessful in the terms of your plea, and you'll be forced to serve the time of the original charge. I doubt you'll get the maximum or anything close to it. If I had to guess, when you get to court, you'll get time-served, and you'll be out that night. And remember, if you don't turn yourself in, that habeas will always be there, so if you ever get pulled over, or at any time your license is ran, you'll be arrested on the spot. Constantly looking over your shoulder for police is no way to live. County jail isn't that bad. I found the transport from the jail to the court to be horrible though.

You did not provide enough information. Is this a Class C felony or misdemeanor? Did it occur when the individual was a minor or adult?
Having said that, as a general rule, you can attend medical school with a conviction as long as the school will admit you. Many schools may not admit you with as felony conviction on your record as licensing may, WILL, be more difficult but not impossible in most states.
There is intense competition for places in medical schools so any negative in one's life my derail a shot at admission. If you have the qualifications and drive for medical school go for it. Visit the colleges, talk to the admissions staff. Good things may happen if you persevere.

Should I drop a class and take a W or a possible C?
I might get a C in this statistics class. I don't know if I should drop it and take a W or take a possible C. I'm planning on going to med school so this would hurt my GPA if I got a C, since last quarter I had a 3.9 something.

My pre-med adviser told me that for med school, a C is better than a W. Then again, if you think that 1) you'll be able to keep that GPA up for the rest of your undergrad, and 2) you could take it again and ace it, I'd recommend taking the W. Med schools are really impressed by a high GPA (as long as they don't see like 3 Ws or something), and you can always say that you felt you weren't really learning it the first time around and wanted to retake it because you want to understand statistics. In your case, your doctor says that you have a Group C "strep throat" (which I prefer to be called pharyngitis--"strep throat" sounds slang), meaning that the Streptococcus bacterium diagnostically, or serologically to be more specific, identified in your throat specimen has a C-polysaccharide. As what your nurse has listed above, there are a number of polysaccharide (or carbohydrates or sugar molecules) groups identified; and depending on the organism, a particular Streptococcus bacterium could be classified as A, B, C, or D (there is an E group if I'm not mistaken).
Examples of each could be A = S. agalactiae, B = S. pyogenes (the common bacterium that causes pharyngitis) C = Group C Streptococcus D = Enterococcus faecalis.
There are others, of course, that are included in this list. But the clinical significance of "grouping" Streptococcus organisms is for the reason of identifying the cause of a particular strep infection, such as that in your case. The main difference between the groups is the composition of polysaccharides or sugars appearing in chains. This is actually a broad classification, but it works well in identifying them serologically, giving an accurate diagnosis for strep infections.

In terms of college, is getting a C in an AP class the same as getting an A in regulars?
Since a C in AP is worth 4.0 and an A in regulars in worth 4.0 do colleges look at them the same. Excluding the score i get on the AP exam, do colleges even look at grades or do they just look at GPA. Do colleges favor a C in an AP class over a A in regulars. My mom tells me that an A is an A and that it worth more than a C but my Dad tells me that since AP is soo much harder than regular colleges favor AP C's to regular A's. ISO far i am pretty indifferent but i am begining to think that A's in regular are worth more because there are many schools in the US that don't have AP programs. DO those students who get straight A's get put down because their school is too poor to fund AP classes.

I have a "C" in my european lit class because I missed a couple points on every assignment, like %26lt;5, and we have only had about 3 or four assignment. I've gotten perfect on most of them, but missed a couple points on two, I think.
Most of these assignments are worth 6 -15 pts.
And I have a C, and the teacher hasn't graded our test so it doesn't count.
I don't really have a problem with my grade or anything, but does anyone else think it is lame that you can get such a bad grade just for missing a question or two?

At my school, the final counts 15% of our grade, so if you were to do poorly on the final, you grade would be affected significantly. However, back in middle school, the finals usually only counted for 100 points, so if you had a high A or B or C, you wouldn't go down a letter grade.
But why are you asking about failing your finals? (I had this kind of attitude in one of my classes last semester, and I ended up getting a B+ as opposed to my high A's in all my other classes). Study hard so you won't fail! Make youself a study guide and quiz yourself over and over again. Good luck.

My babies daddy (sounds so ghetto) just got arrested for selling/distributing marijuana and methenphendamine (funny thing, he's an upper class white guy who's parents are loaded, kinda pisses me off). Reply:Depends on what you are qualifying for and the level standard to get in or achieve. If it does not impact on either dont phase yourself. You should roughly know by now what minimum grades you need to achieve to qualify for a pass grade int he over all degree/diploma/leve entry subject, just as long as you can maintain this you should be ok.

I learned it real quick, but I think very logically. You just have to remember that the computer cannot do something unless you tell it to.

I also had Matlab (in EE) at the same time as C++, and there for a while I was mixing the languages. lol, it doesn't work,

In C# you can use the "using" statement to import a namespace. However I have entered two namespaces with the same class and it is giving me an error because the compiler doesnt know which class to use.

Should I "WITHDRAW" From my PSYC class if I going to get a C?
I am trying to get into nursing school and I have a 3.82 GPA(5 A's %26amp; 1 B-trig) but i am taking this summer PSYC class and I am feeling nervous about my grade. It is a 5 week coarse and for 2 weeks of it, it overlapped with a Biology class(I got an A in Biology also). My first test I got an 81 second test a 70, first paper 93and second paper ? I won't get my second paper back until Tuesday and the last day to drop the class is monday(tomorrow) with the grades above I have a 78 average (C). I do have 3 more tests (one on this Tuesday) and a research paper left but what if I get bad grades. I study VERY HARD for all my tests and I did better on my first test (during biology) then my second (after biol). Should I drop my class or not??? C's will not look good and it will bring my GPA down. What to do???

When she talks to someone about getting into nursing school, she tells all of them to get all of their pre-reqs out of the way before starting nursing school. The classes are tough - and they ask a lot of you... but so does the profession! :)

C++ List class remove?
The problem is finding the proper instance in the list. The function list::remove expects an object of the same type as stored in the list. You have a list of person, but you pass remove a null terminated character string.
To use remove, you need to construct a person object with the exact same values:
pers.remove(person("Siva", 35));
What you are trying to do is to look for a person instance that happens to have a particular name, irrespective of the age. To do this, you have to write a comparison object that takes a person and compares the person's name with the target name. Then use this comparison object in std::find

Read up on iterators, they are necessary for using standard collection classes and algorithms. Once you understand them you'll see how nicely the algorithms and collections work together.

what i think is that the pointer (p) is pointing to the end of the list after the while loop terminates. then since you try to remove it, it does not exist.
i do not know how the remove is actually defined so im only making a guess as to what happened. if the remove does not search the list for the specific item then this is what happened.
however, if the list searches for the item then deletes it, then i don't know what happened :-)
find out how the remove is actually defined then you will know the problem
i personally just make my own list and not rely on predefined lists.

The problem is finding the proper instance in the list. The function list::remove expects an object of the same type as stored in the list. You have a list of person, but you pass remove a null terminated character string.
To use remove, you need to construct a person object with the exact same values:
pers.remove(person("Siva", 35));
What you are trying to do is to look for a person instance that happens to have a particular name, irrespective of the age. To do this, you have to write a comparison object that takes a person and compares the person's name with the target name. Then use this comparison object in std::find

what i think is that the pointer (p) is pointing to the end of the list after the while loop terminates. then since you try to remove it, it does not exist.
i do not know how the remove is actually defined so im only making a guess as to what happened. if the remove does not search the list for the specific item then this is what happened.
however, if the list searches for the item then deletes it, then i don't know what happened :-)
find out how the remove is actually defined then you will know the problem
i personally just make my own list and not rely on predefined lists.

Well in a Class C address 255.255.255.x is the correct subnet range! 255.255.x.x is a Class B range so of course the "C" addresses when used with the B subnet will act like a "B" class Its the subnet range that determines the CLASS behavior.
Class A addresses can have a mask bit of 8
Class B addresses can have a mask bit of 16
Class C addresses can have a mask bit of 24
(That doesn't mean you can't use a class A or B address with a mask bit of 24 - it means you then only have 254 hosts available in that subnet range! How else do you "divide them up"?)

Perks and privilege like free housing, medical vaccination, free education, even diesel discounts for jeepneys and buses, and etc. when they don't even pay their taxes? (do you think the sidewalk vendors pay income tax? what about the jeepney drivers and bus drivers?) and yet, the middle class who pays their taxes is being taxed even more. No wonder the middle class is packing up and leaving this country!

I was arrested and did not know why until the officer informed me of the offense I had commited. I had used a check at Walmart for $25 with insufficient funds in my account. Not knowing the transaction never took place, I canceled my account. I got released from jail with a $500 bail bond. Two months after, I went to court for the same reason where I was advised it was best for me to plead "No-contest", I did and the judge dismissed my charges...I paid the $25 and court fees. They returned me the $500 bail bond fee within weeks. Now I want to apply to become a FireFighter in Austin, TX and the possible disqualifications are having been convicted for Misdemeanor offenses other than minor traffic offenses. I am confused...I do not know what to do. Please help!

I'm assuming that you are referring to the W203 Series C-Class (2000-2007).
First of all the C240 has a V6, 2.6L normally aspirated engine (according to Mercedes Benz nomenclature this generally should have been C260, but don't ask me why!).
The Kompressor does the same function of a turbocharger; forced induction - however as far as I know, the Kompressor is available on the C180 and C200 only (Both 1.8L straight-4 engines).

I'm assuming that you are referring to the W203 Series C-Class (2000-2007).
First of all the C240 has a V6, 2.6L normally aspirated engine (according to Mercedes Benz nomenclature this generally should have been C260, but don't ask me why!).
The Kompressor does the same function of a turbocharger; forced induction - however as far as I know, the Kompressor is available on the C180 and C200 only (Both 1.8L straight-4 engines).

Is it true that just going to class in grad school will usually get you at least a C?
Someone I know who has several masters degrees once told me that when you're in grad school, you're pretty much guaranteed of getting at least a C in a class if you at least come to all the classes. Do you know if this is often true? Assume we're talking about a normal state school here, not a prestigious grad school.

One has to remember though, graduate school is a bit self-selecting. That is, there aren't usually stupid people in grad school - these students are already some of the brightest people around, that's why they are there. It's not unusual for the ability/knowledge of the students to exceed that of the professors in a good program.
For those posting that having "several master's degrees" is unusual -- actually, look around. The master's is the new bachelor's and more than a few folks out there are getting multiples. Many are also adding additional content area courses to their degrees. It's not all that uncommon and it's going to become more common.

I am a college studnet, and was planning to graduate for this comin May. However I am having C already in a requirement class. If I have to retake this class, I will take it in summer. I need to appy for graduation anyway. If I got a D in the class, how the application for graduation goes? Does it automatically move to end of the fall? Reply:Personally, I have never sat in a more comfortable car than the IS. Seriously. I've sat in a Lexus LS 460, a Bentley Continental GT, and a Rolls-Royce Phantom. The IS's seats are ergonomic and extremely comfortable. And it's entertaining. The power that car has is incredible. I own an IS 350 and I haven't been bored with it yet. The C-Class is nice, but Mercedes is a little boring when it comes to Lexus. Plus, the C-Class and the IS can't really be compared to each other. The IS is a sport sedan, and the C-Class is a luxury sedan (even if you get the sport model). So basically, I'd choose the IS over most any car out there. I love it.

It falls far short of a BMW 335 (the benchmark to compare to). The Mercedes C-Class offers a more sporty driving experience and can haul friends with a bit more comfort. Around here most high school girls seem to be driving the C-Class, whereas the IS appears to be more of the guys who were outpriced from a BMW. But if you're planning to keep the car for many years, the IS will most likely have the higher dependability and lower cost of ownership.

Does anyone know what type of mobile phone will fit the cradle in my 2005 mercedes c class ?
I checked the booklet and it seemed to indicate a nokia 6310i which I duly purchased from e-bay but it doesn't fit ?

Mercedes no longer sells phones. They were such a pain that benz has gone with a bluetooth interface. No mercedes specific handsets are available at this time (trust me I work for a dealer and we cant even get them). You more than likely have a v60 cradle in your center console. I suggest looking up a picture of a v60s and comparing it to your cradle. If it is a v60 cradle you can either purchase a v60s handset or a bluetooth dongle from benz. The dongle is a bluetooth transmitter/receiver that is shaped like a v60 and can be inserted in the v60 style cradle. Any phone with bluetooth capability can then be connected to the c-class phone system. Good luck.

In that process, Nokia designs an interface that is compatible with the MB radio system. It will differ slightly from a standard Nokia 6310i and will not work with your MB unless it has the MB interface. The connectors are different and sometimes that battery housing differs as well.
Be sure to buy a MB- Nokia made phone. Otherwise, it will not work with your car.

Benz has needle bearings in the mains on the engine block -- makes the car real smooth at 100mph -- but those bearings eventually leak and it's ususally the front one. Happens at about 50,000 on the odometer. Then you're looking at $3-5k. On a Volks, I'd only go with the models made in the last 3 years. Volks has come a long ways recently.

call me dumb.. but i'm usually not new.. i've looked everywhere that it could possibly be, and i can't find it.. please help. i need to get gas.

I have a 97 C230 and a 94 C220 and you simply push in on the gas filler door on the right (front) edge when the vehicle is unlocked, and the door opens far enough to pull it open from the left (rear) edge. Unscrew (counter-clockwise) the gas cap and you are all set.

The guy in the parts dept. said "It's is easy, just fold the mirror back, release a clip and the whole mirror case slides off revealing the lamp assembly."

Wow...tough choice, both are very nice cars. Personally I like the new CTS over the C-Class, the Cadillac has a sporty look and an equally nice interior. Plus you can get one with a lot more options for what you can get with the Benz for the same price.

lets say a class has a test catagory worth 75 percent of your grade and a homework catagory worth 25.
if you got all the points in the 25 percent, about what percent average in the test catagory is nessesary to obtain a C (70 prcent) in the class?

If you get all the points in the homework section, you're guaranteed at least 25% of the total score. Your goal is 70%, so you need to get at least 45% more of the total score to get a C. Since the only other way to get points is through test scores, you need to get 45 out of 75 points, or 60% average on the tests.

However, in a typicall business environement, only 1 thru 199 are used. This allows room for static ips or reservastions for things like servers, printers, etc that require an ip address that will not change.

i would suggest a bmw, either a 3 series or a 5 series. you can buy one with decent mileage and a good reg for 5k.
dont get the mazda, it will depreciate a lot and the car parts are expensive as most likely they will have to be imported.
the mercedes maybe ok, but im not much of a mercedes fan...depends on your personal taste i guess.
if you want economy and reliability i would suggest a honda, or toyota. but if you want a bit of prestige then go for a bmw.

Reply:A Mercedes will spend most of it's time in a garage being fixed unless you get a pre-1995 one, and they feel very old now. The Mazda 6 is a nice car, looks good, but as with all Japanese cars the ride is not really up to spec. It's good, but a VW Passat is better. Given the choice I'd have a Passat.

There is no point in having a nice car these days when the councils can't be bothered to sort out the state of the roads %26amp; you wreck the suspension continously going over speed humps
Not to mention the fact that someone may pinch it to feed their drug habit or even worse pinch your stereo %26amp; get their grubby mitts all over but then you still have to keep the car.

I was t-boned, cracked two body panels and the rear axle, but I and my passenger were un touched. However I would not buy one again, due to servicing bills...so if you aren't paying for that part of the gig, I say the Saab.

First off, I'd like to say that these cars can't be compared price-wise because of how expensive the BMW 7-series is, how mediocorly priced the Lexus GS is priced, and how low the Mercedes C-class is.
My chick personally likes the Mercedes C-class and the Lexus GS because of their looks and their affordable price. She f avors the Mercedes over the Lexus however just because it's a Merc. and the Lexus is a Lexus.

BMW 335i is my first choice, really the standard in luxury sports sedans. The engine is incredible and BMW provides some of the best chassis and car design.
The A4 is being redesigned next year, so I would pass on that. Same with the Acura TL.
The G37 is intriguing since it costs less than the BMW, Lexus or Benz.

The TL is much less expensive than the rest, and there's a reason, less horsepower and it only comes in a sedan. I think a more comparable Audi option would be the new A5 coupe that's coming out next month. The A4 isn't really a competitor with the rest, other than the TL.
I think most will choose the BMW, because it's had 5 generations to perfect the 3 series. My personal favorite is the Infiniti G35. It has clean lines, almost 300hp and handles like a dream. The car is just sexy! And not a 'yuppie mobile' like the BMW which is just as common on the road as a Honda civic. Who wants to join the club? Not me. Better to stand out and be different.
The new G37 design is nice, but doesn't sit as low and sleek as the 35. It has more horsepower, but is also hundreds of pounds heavier which completely elminates the purpose of the hp!
That's my rant and I'm stickin to it!
PS the Lexus is nice. AWD is sweet.
