I just did a couple days ago. i purchased the OEM hid xenon headlights that came stock on the c43 amg's. i have a 1997 c280 they fit great and work like a charm. however, i must have gotten a defective one because my ignitor went out after the first day of use. i was very upset, but they do look good and work great when theyre not broken. i hope this answers your question.
by the way, it was a pain taking the old headlights out, ill give you a hint: theres a little clip on the backside of the CORNER lights, squeeze it and the corner light pops out, it will reveal some bolts and screws which hold the headlight assembly in. there are 3 bolts which hold the assembly in, the one next to the radiator is a REAL pain to get out you have to remove all this plastic covering to get to it... its awful but doable.

btw i bought them from bekkers.com but i think i got the last ones they dont stock them anymore =( ask them and see if they can order you a set, theyre 1300 for the headlights. they are genuine BOSCH oem HID lights which came stock on the amg's so theyre worth every penny.
