Help me pick between the BMW 3-series or Mercedes Benz C-class?

are you going with the new 07' or a used and if new or 2003 to now 3 series, then go with that. bimmer will turn more heads and are more fun to drive. MB's are just luxuries you dont need and just not a good investment

Talk to a C-class owner and listen to the war stories they have about taking to the dealer for repairs and then look at the terrible resale of the C-class. That should get you in a BMW quicker than anything.

Reply:It's like choosing between Nikon or Canon, it's kinda hard. However, for me, Bimmer all the way. It's fast, fun to drive, and more sporty look. C class are for older people.
Reply:Well I just traded in my C-class for a BMW 3-series on Friday. Probably the best decision ever. I really liked the C-class, but the BMW is just a much better ride and has a lot more features than the bottom-line C-class has.
Reply:Well, I believe that this comes down to performance preference, and styling. In my opinion, the C-Class looks much more striking than the 3-Series sedan, however, I would choose the 3-Series coupe over a CLK. Both cars are very similar in option packages, as well as performance. If you want a more sprite, sportier handling, I'd opt for the 3-Series, or the C-Class sport, the 3-Series being a bit sportier. If you want crisp handling, but not as much emphasis on sportiness, I would choose the C-Class luxury. The styling on the Mercedes-Benz is more of a reserved elegant, even on the sport model, whereas the styling of the BMW is more lively and sporty. The choice is yours, I hope I have given you enough information. I have both makes and love them.no complaints.
Reply:depend what kind of 3 series u want and what kind of c-class u want. Personally if ur going for new, i would go with the new c-class because i love the way the new ones look. 3 series are for girls. The new c-classes are very aggresive looking. But ur posting this question in a bmw section and not a mercedes section. So u will get alot of bimmer fanatics that will lead u into a bmw direction.

Reply:M-B is now a chrysler product... over rated... Just an expensive piece of junk. Get a BMW. They are still manufactured in Germany by BMW. They also handle a whole heck of a lot better than a M-B. Not to mention look better as well. And you won't break the bank (compared to if you were to buy a M-B). BMW is just a whole lot better car for the money.
