Which do you consider a better buy: A brand new C class or a similarly priced '04/'05 E Class?

I'll go for the E-Klasse.... first of all because it's more luxurious than the C. It has more space and more features, but the mileage could get it down.


The new C class is wonderful for a small family that needs the luxury and safety of a Merc. The C is sportier than the E due to it's reduce weight and size. Both are RWD so they`re really fun to drive (you should try one on the track... you`d be amazed of what you had all along).





Now my advice: See both cars. BUT be very careful when trying the used car... look for everything that can be broken or out of it's place. If it has more than 60k (kilometers) or 40k (miles) don't buy it go for the new Merc.


Also when test driving the C-Class remember it's a luxury car so you want everything to be perfect (you`re paying for it aren`t you?). See how you feel in both cars when driving and then make ur pick.

I would recommend the E-Class over the C-Class due to styling, handling, and comfort. The E-Class has more pickup, unless of course you are refering to the C55 AMG model, which has more horespower then the E320.

Reply:I'd go with the E class if it was a MB Certified used car with the remainder of the factory warranty or a private owner who can supply all maintenance records.


Beware buying a car like this at a car lot - people buy these vehicles for the long term. Someone who gets rid of one after a short time (unless it was a lease) might be trying to unload a problem.
