Hi,
I am intersted in purchasing the new Benz c 300 sport - with minimal features - ( my first real car purchase, out of college ) So not looking to get it loaded.
I recently got a quote of $33,865 + tax and tag for the following.(at bottom)
How much should i pay for this? How much can i get it for? Those of who you that have bought it, how much did you pay?
Should i wait until september for the end of the year clearance ( i am able to wait, but anxious to get the car )
Finally how willing is Benz Dealers to negotiate, or are they buy at this price or go home type of dealers?
Thanks in advance.

How much should I pay for the new C class?
Here's the deal...
The MSRP reflects a 7% mark-up. That means that on the car that you're interested in the dealer has $2,410 to play with and make a profit on. They are willing to give you over half of their profit, a discount of $1,400, which means that they're only going to make $1,000. That's a pretty fair deal for both sides.
If you wait until closer to the end of the model year, you may get a SLIGHTLY better deal. Maybe another $500. BUT, the car that you want may be gone by that time.
Having said all of that, you can certainly hop on the internet and look up other dealers across the country to try and find a better deal. Some MB dealers out there have lots of new C's on their lots and are willing to make less money to move one.
If I were you, I would take some time to surf the web, find some other dealerships out there and get quotes from them. Tell them what deal you've already got in place and see if they can beat it. Depending upon where you live, you may find a better deal, you may not.
I am not going to be bashful, I sell Mercedes Benz in Maryland. If you live close, please email me and I will try to get you a better deal. If I cannot, I'll tell you to simply buy that car.
I hope this advice helps.
Reply:I am a Master Certified Mercedes Benz Internet Sales and Leasing Consultant and I have that exact car on my lot. Brand new no miles. I can sell you that car for $32,765. Please e mail me if you are interested, I can ship cars out all over the country.
Reply:Since this is a new body style, they are not going to discount too much. Realistically, that car should only be a $28,000 car. Everything is just overinflated.
Reply:You would be safer in a used E Klasse or S,even better.
Reply:The thing is, most Mercedes cars that find at the dealers are not base vehicles. Average is around $39,000. They can be hard to negotiate with, you just have to go to the dealer and see.
Reply:not more than that. that is already a bit high but ya usually depends on your credit
Reply:Ask other dealer's Internet Departments if they can better the deal you received. Being in the business myself, I will be honest, if I cannot beat it I will say buy there it's a great deal. If you shop between dealers, you will get a price that is equal to what you would get when the 09's start to hit. To get a great deal on a previous model you need to wait a while after the 09's have been out. Just shop around and buy the car when you are happy with the numbers. If you say I will wait, you can potentially be waiting forever.
