Do you have to pay extra for the port in the glove box that you can connect your ipod to? Or is it part of the premium or COMAND packages?
Thanks
Mercedes 2008 C Class Ipod Jack?
The MP3 interface is a standard feature. For an iPod, you will need to get an MP3 interface cord long enough to plug into it and then run to the cup holder, because you will need to physically use the iPod to control play selection and listen to it through the AUX selection of the sound system. There is a seperate 'iPod Integration Kit' option for $375. With the iPod Integration Kit you leave the iPod plugged in and charging in the glovebox, and use the steering wheel to control play selection through your speedometer display. (FYI..The glovebox is air conditioned to keep an iPod from overheating in there). Do know that it is possible to add an iPod Integration Kit after a car has left Germany, at the port in America. So know any model that has not yet reached America, from your local dealer, can have it added.
Reply:It's standard for the jack. Don't pay the extra money for the Ipod integration kit because it's not worth it.
