2001 C-Class 2 min weired noise top of cd changer every start engine?

I've a very weired situation with my 2001 Mercedes C320 - It has noise like clock ( tik, tik, tik, tik... on) for 2 mins everytime starting the engine after that it will be gone... It's loud enough when you're outside of the car you can hear it.

The noise is certainly not from the air-con, not from cd-changer coz they're off. The noise comes from the area between top console where the windshild is and the cd-changer!!!! Please help if you know what is it from???

could be a broken a/c flap linkage.

the system does a self test even though its not turned on
Reply:More than likely it is a fuel return valve. It sits in the left front under the hood. These have been a problem for Mercedes Benz in that they make noise. It doesn't mean its bad or broke, just part of life for that model. I wouldn't worry about it, or take it to your local MB dealer so they can tell you the same.
