Mercedes c class or the land rover LR3?

The C class---%26gt; better reliability history and awesome gas mileage than the LR3. If you just need the vehicle for urban driving...hands down I will go with the more nimble sedan. But if you are planning to go to the boondocks or off road rural driving, I have to compromise with the SUV....

Mercedes c class or the land rover LR3?
Mercedes C Class hands down

Heres why...

Land Rover is great and all but completely unreliable. I have experience with a Ranger Rover Sport and asked the dealer why are there so many problems and he said simply Land Rovers are needy cars.

So for real class and reliability go with the Benz

Plus the 2008 C-Class is coming out go check that out on the site. It's very nice looking.
Reply:...or a 50" plasma TV?

If you compare a sedan to SUV, why not add something else?

Strange choice. It depends on how you see yourself using it. I'd go with the SUV. It's more flexible.

The C Class isn't too exciting from a design standpoint, but all the pix I'm finding are silver. * very blah color *

I bet the inside is quite nice though.

You need to test drive them both. You might not be so hot for the body roll of the Land Rover and love the way the Mercedes clings to the road.

You could do what I do.. Have a few cheaper cars that are completely different from eachother so you can drive what ever you feel like driving when ever? ;0)
Reply:No thanks no aluminum blocks for me.Go Mercedes.
Reply:well i think the LR3 is bulky and fuel consuming so no i would go for the c class especially the 2008 C
Reply:wait for the 2008 c class
Reply:With gas prices these days, the C Class. The size of a Land Rover, although roomy and capable for passengers and cargo, is usually much too large for inner city driving.

So: If you're hauling large items, carrying people cross country, and roaming the savannah without caring about gas prices: LR3. (And you might look extremely rich.)

If you want good gas milage, mediocre styling, and a good size for the average college student/younger person: C-Class.

But beware, the C-Class doesn't offer much in terms of enthusiasts or any extremes. It's just a middle of the road, American baby-benz.
